WPMS Blue Iron Missouri II LEMC Bike Night At The Races Fundraiser Saturday, June 23rd

In 2011, The West Plains Motor Speedway faced the possibility that the legendary dirt track would be closed. However, a group of the community’s business owners interceded and purchased the speedway in order to keep the historical dirt track open. The group recognized the valuable history and tradition to both the Ozarks and the sport of dirt track racing. As well, the fact that the track was a viable asset to the regions economics, with racers, race fans & national race series’ such as MARS Dirt Cars and The USMTS traveling from across the Nation to the heart of the Ozarks to race at the West Plains Motor Speedway, rated one of the finest dirt tracks facilities in the Nation. Through 2011, the ownership put over $200,000 into upgrading and restoring the venue. One of the goals of the new ownership is to make the Historical Speedway into a pillar of community partnership for the region. In 2011 The West Plains Motor Speedway raised over $1600 for Autism and is pleased to announce our first fundraiser of the 2012 Season.

West Plains Motor Speedway's 1st Track Gives Back Fundraiser, in support of Blue Iron Missouri II Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club. All funds raised will go to benefit the Missouri Sheriff's Academy Scholarship and the Fallen & Wounded Officers Fund. We encourage all to attend, and to wear the color Blue in show of your support to law enforcement. If you ride a motorcycle, ride your bike to the races, there will be special parking for all motorcycles and for custom, vintage or show bikes a special display area will be set up inside the gates.
