3-Day Sunoco & Simons Petroleum Firecracker Weekend Special Entertains Record Numbers

West Plains, MO (July 5, 2009) West Plains Motor Speedway, hosted the annual Sunoco & Simons Petroleum Firecracker Weekend, it concluded right on schedule complete with one of the biggest and most elaborate fireworks displays ever seen in the heart of the Ozarks. The pyrotechnic group, Air Magic, Inc. of Batesville, AR, was responsible for the production and presentation of the ever popular "Salute to Our Troops", that left the crowd "oooing and awwing" throughout and wanting more.

At the opening night of the 10th Annual Sunoco & Simons Petroleum Firecracker Weekend which includes a Super Stock Special 40-lap feature paying $5,000 - 58 race teams from an extended area came to test and tune in preparation for time trials and heat races and the purse that neared $30,000.
